How to help

We recently found a 100-hectare property that is ideal for the reserve.

Each hectare of the reserve will cost $300 per acre or $750 per hectare (US dollars) for a total of $75,000 plus closing costs. It is important for at least some of the locals in the nearby village of Tres de Mayo to see with their own eyes the economic gains that can be made with well-planned conservation. We plan to take at least five people from the community to Costa Rica for seven days so that they may learn from Costa Ricans' success and apply what they have learned at home. The cost is $1,400 per person including the airfare. We need a comfortable structure on the reserve to house visitors, workers, and volunteers that will cost about $60,000 US dollars to build. All in all, the total cost for the reserve to become operational is $145,000.
